How can a woman not love the Lord?

Posted by Luminus on May 10, 2006

  • He is a gentleman
  • He is confident
  • He is a provider and protector
  • He is rich and powerful
  • He owns everything, there is nothing He wouldn't do for her
  • He perfects all things concerning her
  • He anticipates her wants and needs
  • Every day He tells her and shows her how much He loves her
  • She doesn't have to perform in order to earn His love
  • He keeps all of his promises
  • No one can influence His opinion of her
  • He is the ultimate intimate partner
  • He can't "disown" her because she is a part of Him
  • He prepares a table before her (Selah)
  • He covers her and doesn't expose her
  • He wrote his loving words down so that I'll never forget how He feels about her!

Any man, who wants pointers on how to love a woman, should study GOD!

I Wake up every day and thank God for being the best "MAN" in MY life!

God is not mocked

Posted by Luminus on January 20, 2006

Never doubt the Word of God!!!
Make a personal reflection about this. Very interesting, read until the end…
It is written in the Bible (Gatians 6:7):
” Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Here are some men and women who mocked God:

Some years before during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
“Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are more famous than Him” (1966)”.
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

During a show in Canecão ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: God, that’s for you.
I can’t even explain how he died.

After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: “Not even God can sink it”
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.

She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He is a preacher and Evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
“I don’t need your Jesus”
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
“Don´t stop me, I´m going down all the way, wow the highway to
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his vomit.

In Campinas, a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter – holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: “MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU”,
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the boot was intact.
The police said there was no way the boot could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the boot was a crate of eggs, none was broken.
Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

People I’d really appreciate it y’all would seriously consider the approach you take towards God. How you relate with him, what you say about him, what he means to you… I could go on and on but I trust that you’re smart enough to figure out the rest on your own.

Someone once said,

You don’t have to be a genius to go to heaven, but to go to hell, you have to be really stupid.

So folks, it’s entirely up to you how you want to swing it, Will you go like Bon Scott of AC/DC down the “highway to hell” or will you climb the Stairways to Heaven. Think about it.

What day is it?

Posted by Luminus on January 13, 2006

Hey y’all. Got this in my email and thought I should share it. The world sure would be a better place if we all said these prayers everyday and set our minds and hearts to follow through, beleiving that he has heard and answered our prayers.
Wash Day

Lord, help me wash away all my selfishness and vanity, so I may serve
you with perfect humility through the week ahead.

Ironing Day

Dear Lord, help me iron out all the wrinkles of prejudice I have
collected through the years so that I may see the beauty in others.

Mending Day

O God, help me mend my ways so I will not set a bad example for others.

Cleaning Day

Lord Jesus, help me to dust out all the many faults I have been hiding
in the secret corners of my heart.

Shopping Day

O God, give me the grace to shop wisely so I may purchase eternal
happiness for myself and all others in need of love.

Cooking Day

Help me, my Savior, to brew a big kettle of brotherly love and serve it
with clean, sweet bread of human kindness.

The Lord’s Day

O God, I have prepared my house for you. Please come into my heart so I
may spend the day and the rest of my life in your presence.

Did Jesus exist? Italian court to decide

Posted by Luminus on January 9, 2006

Forget the U.S. debate over intelligent design versus evolution. An Italian court is tackling Jesus — and whether the Roman Catholic Church may be breaking the law by teaching that he existed 2,000 years ago.

The case pits against each other two men in their 70s, who are from the same central Italian town and even went to the same seminary school in their teenage years.

The defendant, Enrico Righi, went on to become a priest writing for the parish newspaper. The plaintiff, Luigi Cascioli, became a vocal atheist who, after years of legal wrangling, is set to get his day in court later this month.

“I started this lawsuit because I wanted to deal the final blow against the Church, the bearer of obscurantism and regression,” Cascioli told Reuters.

Cascioli says Righi, and by extension the whole Church, broke two Italian laws. The first is “Abuso di Credulita Popolare” (Abuse of Popular Belief) meant to protect people against being swindled or conned. The second crime, he says, is “Sostituzione di Persona”, or impersonation.

“The Church constructed Christ upon the personality of John of Gamala,” Cascioli claimed, referring to the 1st century Jew who fought against the Roman army.

A court in Viterbo will hear from Righi, who has yet to be indicted, at a January 27 preliminary hearing meant to determine whether the case has enough merit to go forward.

“In my book, The Fable of Christ, I present proof Jesus did not exist as a historic figure. He must now refute this by showing proof of Christ’s existence,” Cascioli said.

Speaking to Reuters, Righi, 76, sounded frustrated by the case and baffled as to why Cascioli — who, like him, came from the town of Bagnoregio — singled him out in his crusade against the Church.

“We’re both from Bagnoregio, both of us. We were in seminary together. Then he took a different path and we didn’t see each other anymore,” Righi said.

“Since I’m a priest, and I write in the parish newspaper, he is now suing me because I ‘trick’ the people.”

Righi claims there is plenty of evidence to support the existence of Jesus, including historical texts.

He also claims that justice is on his side. The judge presiding over the hearing has tried, repeatedly, to dismiss the case — prompting appeals from Cascioli.

“Cascioli says he didn’t exist. And I said that he did,” he said. “The judge will to decide if Christ exists or not.”

Even Cascioli admits that the odds are against him, especially in Roman Catholic Italy.

“It would take a miracle to win,” he joked.

Bibles for Porn: Absolute Madness

Posted by Luminus on December 6, 2005

I just came across this post on Matthew Schinckel‘s blog and decided to check it out. You can’t imagine how insane human beings can get. A group of atheist students from The University of Texas at San Antonio calling themselve Atheist Agenda decided to show the height of their stupidity by staging a Porno for Bibles event. They reffered to religious scripture as smut, how absurd.

Even though I’m one for tolerance for people’s beliefs, that tolerance ends when they begin to bash other peoples’ beliefs. How on God’s earth can you after first being stupid enough to believe that there’s no God, attempt to make him look frivolous.

They did get 5 students to turn in their bibles for pornography but them again that goes to show in my opinion that God will not be mocked. Those that traded in their Bibles were never believers in the 1st place so what the heck.

Let me just end this post here before I say something that even I might not like when I get a chance to calm down. But I still think they’re downright stupid. Sorry did I say stupid, brain dead would be a more appropriate term. Sheesh. Check here for a detailed news item.
