Never doubt the Word of God!!!
Make a personal reflection about this. Very interesting, read until the end…
It is written in the Bible (Gatians 6:7):
” Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Here are some men and women who mocked God:
JOHN LENNON:
Some years before during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
“Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are more famous than Him” (1966)”.
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.
TANCREDO NEVES:
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.
CAZUZA:
During a show in Canecão ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: God, that’s for you.
I can’t even explain how he died.
THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: “Not even God can sink it”
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.
MARILYN MONROE:
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He is a preacher and Evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
“I don’t need your Jesus”
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
BON SCOTT:
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
“Don´t stop me, I´m going down all the way, wow the highway to
hell”.
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his vomit.
CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005
In Campinas, a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter – holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: “MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU”,
She responded: ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE BOOT, COZ INSIDE HERE IT’S ALREADY FULL”
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the boot was intact.
The police said there was no way the boot could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the boot was a crate of eggs, none was broken.
Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.
People I’d really appreciate it y’all would seriously consider the approach you take towards God. How you relate with him, what you say about him, what he means to you… I could go on and on but I trust that you’re smart enough to figure out the rest on your own.
Someone once said,
You don’t have to be a genius to go to heaven, but to go to hell, you have to be really stupid.
So folks, it’s entirely up to you how you want to swing it, Will you go like Bon Scott of AC/DC down the “highway to hell” or will you climb the Stairways to Heaven. Think about it.

What would you say of Bishop Idahosa who died after a meal or Pastor Bimbo Odukoya who died in a plane crash…
With all due respect, I don’t think the Almighty Creator Arts Arbitrarily. We will all without exception died one day… the means (apart from suicide) becomes irrelevant.
I don’t think those who died after saying negative things about God or His son Jesus were kill because of what they said… death came calling… just as it will definitely call on everyone one day.

I feel you man, but that’s not the point. The point is in how you wanna go. Plus some of that stuff is serious. For example the lady that said Jesus had to ride in the trunk. The whole car was trashed except for the boot. How do you explain that. The point of the whole thing is that there is a God, He is REAL and he is ALIVE.
Hate him or disbelive him at your own risk.

But to be honest, I think all this is extremism. The Church preaches mockery to avoid questioning by its congregation. And thats exactly the problem here.
Not the action, the Use of it as a shield to truth. I see it that way.

Kazey, that is some deep stuff. But then again you need to be careful about generalisation. You know, just ‘cos some guy did something doesn’t mean all guys do it. Catch my drift. Plus the way you see something depends on where you’re stnading when you’re looking at it.

I can easily explain that boot thing. These stories are virtually all made up. The only one that can even remotely be verified is the John Lennon thing.
Overall, this tirade is just absolutely ignorant. Tens of thousands of Christians drowned to death in the pan-asian tsunami not long ago. So what? Stuff happens. There are no statistics indicating that atheists or even non-Christians are any more accident prone than Christians. This is just idiotic. Get real folks. Get some critical thinking skills, and educate yourselves out of religion.

However, at least one thing in this chain email is
definitely misleading:

In fact, Lennon infamously said the Beatles were more
popular than Jesus (commonly paraphrased as “bigger than
Jesus”) in 1966. Not long after that Lennon met Yoko
Ono. Mark Chapman didn’t shoot him until 1980.
However, IMO the greater error of this email is that it
is not theologically sound. The truth is that God sends
the sun and the rain on both the just and the unjust
[Mat 5:45]. He will repay, it is true, and is also true
that earthly sin often has earthly consequences. But
scripture makes clear that does not mean that evil doers
will necessarily suffer here for their deeds, or that
God’s people will necessarily prosper materially or live
long lives here on earth. God’s judgement for sin comes
after our death (or Christ’s return). [Heb 10:30-36]

It’s true that God sends sun & rain to both good & bad but some sins may lead to death literally speaking! Unless you repent! When you mock God like the philistine giant-Goliath surely God does not torelate that. Didn’t Jesus himself say that what comes out of the mouth defiles? So take care.

The correlation between folks mocking God and their meeting untimely/ghastly demises is interesting. At first it seems shocking and the numerous similar occurrences listed may make this seem convincing. There appears to be a causality: you mock God, and there is a good chance the result will be disastrous, specifically, you will die soon after, therefore, be warned.
Let’s consider some other facts. There are millions of people who meet an untimely and ghastly demise who did not mock God in the preceding minutes, days or years (Keith Greene, Cassie Bernall of Columbine High School, Christians who drowned in the Asian Tsumanis, most of the disciples who were crucified, and lots and lots of ordinary men and women and many other famous ones as well). And, conversely, there are many who mock God who live a long life (Hugh Hefner; Freud; Darwin, implicitly; Bertrand Russell, 98 yrs old at death, and millions of octogenarian atheists and agnostics and “God-mockers” who are still living etc. etc.).
The seven examples in the list are seven of billions of possibilities, so statistically, this is meaningless. But by selectively listing these seven, it makes a convincing presentation. But the seven examples given seem to be the exception to the “rule,” if you will, not a true correlation.
Drawing a conclusion based on a list of pairs of seemingly related events is a dangerous thing to do, because it ignores the majority of facts in favor of a minute amount of data, and therefore falsely implies a correlation between the two events.
Further, I haven’t verified any of the purported facts listed either, but Dave points out that Lennon’s death occurred over a decade after the statement he made, which would seem to negate the implied correlation anyway. Now it is quite possible that all the facts are true, but it is possible many are not, which means correlations were implied from not only a minute amount of data, but from false data.
But, what really troubles me is this: the message of the “Those Who Mock God” list is 1) that God is arbitrary; 2) that God is vindictive; and 3) that God is hypocritical. Arbitrary, because many, many situations do not fall into the fate outlined in the list. Vindictive because one is warned that God is out for revenge. Hypocritical because God asks humans to behave in a manner morally above how God is willing to behave: with mercy and compassion compassion, turning the other cheek, loving your enemies, blessing those that curse you. Not to mention Jesus’ words, “Forgive them because they know not what they do” and John’s statement that love covers a multitude of sins.
I am sure you don’t believe that God is arbitrary, vindictive, or hypocritical, but the message of the warning implies that God is just those things.

When people say or write things like the statement above, I always like to point out this definition:

adj.
Having unlimited or universal power, authority, or force; all-powerful.
If there is such a thing as “God” (which I certainly believe there IS!), wouldn’t that entity be “omnipotent” by nature? And if so, wouldn’t that being be able to do whatEVER it is pleased, regardless of our wishes/desires/beliefs?
Is is noted in several places in the Old Testament where God assisted the Israelites in battles with their enemies. Wouldn’t God’s allowance and blessing of Israel’s slaying of its enemies fly in the face of your definition of “God” above?
It surely doesn’t contradict my understanding of omnipotence.
Yes…. through Jesus’ statements, “…God asks humans to behave in a manner morally above how God is willing to behave: with mercy and compassion compassion, turning the other cheek, loving your enemies, blessing those that curse you.”
But does that imply that he couldn’t do whatever HE well decides and pleases due to HIS omnipotence?

To even imply that God will be offended, and then curse you down, is as per usual playing upon the fear factor, as do many religous organisations.
You are automatically stating that, God is like us….on our level of intelligence! Do you really think that the “all that there is”, is not greater than that… That (he) would become jealous….. and would be offended…..and seek revenge.
Would you tell a child not to kill, and then set example by doing it yourself.
You could say, well God would have the knowledge……even so, it would conflict with the fact that we are All one. You wouldn’t kill yourself.WE are not seperate from one another.This is the biggest illusion that Humans face!
I appreciate that to mock God, is not the thing to do, but as a human being surely to mock anyone is not the thing to do. It is more of a reflection of the person saying it, than it is of God.You have much to learn.

I feel y’all. As you can see, this is a dated post and I’ve grown a lot in the 6 months since. I’ve learnt to check out stuff before I post (Thanks for the heads up Dave Burton) and also to be a little more objective.
I’ve come to realise that some people who call themselves Christians try to use gimmicks to force their point which is something Jesus would never have done.
They also play on pre-programmed prejudices that people hold to make them beleieve the stuff they’ve cooked up. That is what this is and well… I fell for it.

After saying that ? No it was 14 years later. And Lennons views and opinions changed dramatically during those 14 years. Here are the words of a song he wrote reportedly not long before he was killed on December 8, 1980:
“They say the Lord helps themselves who help themselves, So I’m asking this question in the hope that you’ll be kind, ‘Cause I know deep inside, I was never satisfied, oh no. . .Lord help me, help me now, Please help me Lord… Help me to help myself. . .Help me to help myself”.
People loved John Lennon because he wore his heart on his sleeve as he does in this song. And before anyone nitpicks, the song is not about theological correctness, Its simply a heartfelt prayer. But I guess such little details are a little inconvenient aren’t they when youre looking for fodder in declaring Gods judgements. How about leaving that sort of thing to God, and how about getting a clue before you start judging the lives and words of people you obviously know very little about.
